No, you can see where the bottle goes if you watch that one carefully.
The wine bottle was the one that let me know it was NOT an edit. Look at
his shirt on the bottom left of the screen and you'll see an anomaly or
two in how the shirt hugs his body. I'm not 100% certain of the exact
method but I have a good idea of what's being done and I'm certain he
has some form of servante or shell in his pants..

It's purporting to be an Erdnase colour change - if that's an Erdnase,
I'll eat every deck of cards that I own...I flatter myself that I can
do a very nice E.C.C. but even cranking the thing up to top speed
doesn't look like this, PLUS if it was an Erdnase, I'd expect the card
underneath to be the Ace of Spades, not the two...

It screams card flap to me, and ignore all the spinning, you can spin
a flap card just fine without it showing... also theway he lifts it
off from the deck at the end looks hghly suspect.

The more I see of his stuff, the more I'm convinced that what he's
doing isn't what he *says* he's doing (which for the record I'm fine
with btw, that's lesson 101 in fooling people). I think it's more a
case of he wants to build a reputation for himself, by having laymen/
magicians alike not being able to fathom his methods...

I just got done running that video through my editor..it is NOT edited
that I can see. He'd need at least a million takes to get that shot to
look unedited(light, shadows, clothing, elbows, etc. all match)

It COULD be a card flap but he dribbles the deck so it couldn't be a
latex automatic-type flap card or else it'd switch while he was doing
so. His wrist also seems a bit too close to the deck at the moment of
truth to allow most flaps to do their work.

That said, there is another possibility, maybe he's using a pull to put
the card in his hand(though I doubt this is the answer, it is more viable).

Chances are(and this has been my suspicion in all of his videos so far)
he has what is essentially a topit built into his shirt, kinda like TKO
only this one is much more impressive(I figured TKO out the first time I
saw it but I was already hip to Suspended Dimension by Dan Sylvester at
that time). I say this because in almost every video, all the action
happens right next to a certain type of "crease" in his shirt. Look very
carefully in all those videos and you'll see what I mean(I hinted at
this each time). The lighting is such that it covers up any shadows,
etc. that might be left behind.

That said, he does a wrist kill there at the end which makes me wonder
what the hell is going on(and that's pretty much his intended effect for
us magicians so we can put that down to either being a part of the
method or part of the misdirection).

Freeze-frame when he's turned directly to the side(after he's already
made the bottle vanish) and you'll notice that his ass and legs are much
larger than the rest of his body would be(I rode a bicycle 30-100 miles
per day every day for years, can lift a car with my leg strength alone
and yet my legs were never that large compared to my body).

You'll also notice he's shifting his hips back and leaning the top of
his body forward to remove the view of "the shelf" he's got built inside
his pants/shirt. You can clearly see the shirt resting on the pants from
this view and the creases, etc. reveal that there is a gap there that
he's hiding. And you're probably looking at the leg that's hiding the
bottle since in the front of the pants you can see what appears to be
the edge of a shell or the like..

Rude Bear Ready for Winter

SPOILER ALERT>>>>>> THE STRAIGHT DOPE>>>>>>

The platform the witnesses, the cameras and everything was on
rotated. In it's original position, the statue was framed by two
towers. He hung a cloth between the two towers, and when it fell the
statue was gone... What happened was the platform rotated a few
degrees so the statue was hidden behind one of the towers... Fake
flood lights searching the "empty space" where the statue had been...
fake helicopters... a fake ring of lights circling the statue...

The Magic of David Copperfield

Effect : David Copperfield makes the statue of liberty disappear.

Secret:
The audience can see the statue of liberty through the pillars.

The curtain then comes up to block the audiences view. The live
audience is on a secret swiveling platform that rotated slowly to the
side of the statue. The statue of liberty lights are turned off, the
blip on the radar is part of a video animation.

The curtain is then lowered, the audience and the viewers watching
on T.V see that the statue has disappeared but all they are looking at
is a duplicate set of lights that is situated right next to the real
statue of liberty. The lights on the two towers towers are there to
night blind the audience for a few minutes to make it hard too see the
statue of liberty.

The curtain is then raised up the audience is rotated round again
to face the statue of liberty the curtain is dropped and the statue
has reappeared.

First, "Copperfield had a setup of two towers on a stage,
supporting an arch to hold the huge curtain that would be used to
conceal the statue." Those viewing the trick, both live and on TV, saw
the statue through this arch.

After the curtain closed and while Mr. Copperfield addressed the
audience, the stage was apparently rotating very slowly on a lazy
Susan type turntable. When the curtain opened, it seemed the statue
had disappeared, but in reality, the audience's view was blocked by
one of the columns. The article also mentions that Copperfield used
very bright lights to "nightblind" the audience. Those magicians are a
tricky lot, eh?

I don't really see anything that screams edits to me. Are you just basing
this on not being able to discern his methods? No matter how much I learn
in life, I always assume I have more to learn. No matter how much I know, I
always assume there is much I don't. So at this point, I am still happy to
give him the benefit of the doubt.

I really hope your right Eric, because almost every one of
DarkSleightZ videos looks suspicious to me. It looks to me like he's
dropping the bottle out of the cloth onto a soft surface, like a
pillow in a cloths basket (out of frame), then editing out that one or
two frames where the bottle was. There's a new video editing program
called Diminished Reality out of Germany. If I'm not mistaken our
little friend DarkSleightZ is a kraut. I'm not sure if it's available
in the US but from what I've seen it will revolutionize these type of
effects.

I've never laughed so hard at a South Park episode as I did the one
