preload different movies

easy question (i think) but still haven't found an answer.......

i've got a main movie (main.swf) that calls 3 others (menu.swf , core.swf
and footer.swf)

is there any way i can creat a preloader,like:

if movies 1 2 and 3 are loader
go to and play
movie main.swf

You could hide the other movies behind a box the same color as your
stage in the main movie, and they will load while the main movie is
playing.

Or put a blank keyframe with a stop action in the first frame of each MC...
