Projector losing rollovers due to excel app

I have a projector set to background transparent. The stage has flash
buttons calling director handlers on rollover and bmp cast sprites
calling director handlers on rollover.

the problem is this.

when you alt-tab to microsoft excel and then click onto the projector
stage, you lose all non-flash rollovers. The only way to get the
rollovers to work again is to click on the projector tab on the
taskbar.

with _player.debugPlaybackEnabled set to true, 'put the rollover' in
the message window would always return 0.

can anybody help with this problem?
