Stickies: Why don't they stay where I put them?

So why is it that my stickies (v.10, OS 10.11.6 "El Capitan") don't stay where I put them on screen? They USED to stay where I put them (more or less). Since the 10.11.6 upgrade, not so much. They all seem to migrate to the lower left.

I do have my Samsung TV set up as a monitor, but that was never a problem before.

Any hints appreciated....
