I also have 50 brand new cores that might use KF key but I am not
sure. The box has KF hand written on it. So I believe I need a KF key
to check with and then begin the process of repinning them.
I have tried several local locksmiths but they simply don't seem to
know.
Any input will be appreciated.

I'd have to check my key manual, to see if there is a KD. In the LA through
LK series, LD, LH, and HM are sub masters, and LN is the grand master. The
LD keyblank will slip into LA, LB, or LC keyways. LN will slip into all the
L series keyways.

Bob:
You probably have gotten ahold of some new 'old stock' that
once belonged to a large facility/institution which had a
Sargent restricted keyway system in use at some time in the
past (most likely since they wouldn't want to sell spare parts
or compromise their system by selling cylinders and keys for
something they are still using)...
Good luck on finding key blanks for those cylinders... You
should try to see who they once belonged to as Sargent won't
sell restricted products to anyone but the contracted owners...
If you are looking to use these cylinders you are probably
out of luck as obtaining parts: i.e. cylinders and key blanks
is restricted by the factory... The locksmiths you asked were
unfamiliar with the restricted Sargent keyways and therefore
unable to identify your mystery keyway as they didn't work on
the locks at the facility where your stock came from...
For reference --
Sargent's keyway families have the following structure:
Individual Keyways: _A; _B; _C; _E; _F; _G; _J; _K; _L
three (3) keyway multi-section blanks:
multi-section blank: _D (passes 3 keyways): _A; _B; _C
multi-section blank: _H (passes 3 keyways): _E; _F; _G
multi-section blank: _M (passes 3 keyways): _J; _K; _L
three (6) keyway master-milled blanks:
_DH - passes 6 keyways: _A; _B; _C; _E; _F; _G
_HM - passes 6 keyways: _E; _F; _G; _J; _K; _L
_DM - passes 6 keyways: _A; _B; _C; _J; _K; _L
all-section blank: _N (passes all 9 keyways)
Where _ is replaced with the keyway family -
unrestricted keyway families: "L"-stock "R" "H" "C"-hotel
restricted keyway families: "A" "B" "G" "K" "N" "V"

Bob, the "K" series is Sargent factory restricted.
You may be compromising someone's system if you distribute them.

This is a point well worth noting in another sense - if you are in
charge of a building being rennovated or demolished, never, ever allow
masterkeyed cylinders, keys, etc to be removed by demolition people or
others. Recover them at the time building is vacated and if need be
install temporary 'off master' cylinders using 'ordinary' profiles on
the building entry doors.
Note for example that the Federal Bureau of Prisons forbids 'surplus'
keys to be presented as a memento to retiring officers.
