HELP: Need to open Allied-Gary model B-9 safe.

s/n: 1288-4098-F which I purchased used from Tektronix in
Beaverton, Or. I called the locksmith which still support
the Allied-Gary safes and they want too much to make it worth
opening so it could be reused. I would be willing to invest
another $25-$30 to have it opened and the combo reset. I sounds
like the origonal combo paper packet is still inside. It is
a four combo dial with opening handle, about 1 cubic foot unit
weighs about 60 lbs. No tumblers are heard, only slip disks,
three of them. I've tried the 1,2,3,4 and 10,20,30,40 combo,
I think someone reset the combo and locked it again, forgetting
the combo.

Is there a manufacturer's name on the dial?

into cash by offering to sell it to your local
safe tech. If you got it for a good price, you might even
be able to make a small profit on the deal.
Good luck. Safe openings aren't easy -- that's the point of
having a safe, after all -- and hence aren't cheap.
