Today in the mail was the February 1999 issue of The Association of Ontario
Locksmiths.
Don DeKuyper, President, describes the first hand problems he has had with
Ray Nazzaro, creator of the Treskat code software head-aches.
I have read on this newsgroup endless stories and complaints about the
Treskat software eating authorizations, paid updates never arriving, updates
deleting old codes when installing new, and the abuse that spews from his
mouth when calling his help line. Apparently everyone is 'STEALING his
program'.

Well, Don would like to hear from you.

I do not know Don, and he did not ask me to post this.

I always enjoyed reading the horror stories of life with Treskat.
Don't forget to share your stories with us.
We've had a nice break, I think it's time....

Well, Don, let me tell you a story that's perhaps not what you expected.

For a number of years I was a member of TAOL (membership #586 / 1986 last year),and decided to leave this organization after attending a meeting in Toronto. During that meeting, I heard that TAOL had approached the Ontario Government to lobby for licensing for locksmiths and regulation of the locksmithing industry (presumably to be administered by TAOL). The government turned them down flat as "their was no problem to regulate". During the meeting, it came out that part of the reason for the regulation was to keep out part time locksmiths (like myself at that time, but since full time). It was then that I realized that TAOL was nothing more than an "old boys club", and certainly didn't serve my interests, and from what I can see, still doesn't.

Since then I have also thought about joining CANASA but can't see any reason to do so, although I have no bone to pick with them except they represent the large alarm associations, and certainly not the small one man shows !

So maybe things are different today, but I very much doubt that a tiger can change its spots !!

Just my two cents worth !!

About Trescat,
He also told me that he was going to charge me $2.00 per minute, because he
saw one of my remarks about his Shitty Products.
Everyone watch out for Trescat Authorization Eating Software.
You will lose your authorization, then have to pay him $20.00 more for
another authorization for your update , that you just got through paying
for.
You pay for your Programs and you should be able to use them on every
computer that you have. He only allows you to use a program on one PC.
His Automaster program, has some mistakes in it.
His updates are not complete.
I never got his code program, because of his attitude and the Post that I
have read about Trescat.
.
Please don't just take just my word for it, just go back to the archives and
check out Trescat. There are hundreds and hundreds of bad post about this
man.
He will treat you like you have no since,
He will hang-up on you.
He tells you that the first minute of tech. support is free and it will be
$2.00 per minute there after.
He will spend the first minute telling you how stupid you are, then start
charging.
To sum this all up, you will be glad, if you find yourself different
Software.
This man and his Programs, have no Business in Business.
I hope that I get to see Ray face to face one day...
I have been waiting for years to Knock out the SORRY SOB....
