Yes. Subject to federal law..
This guy should pay the $90 (or whatever it costs now) and buy a copy.
He won't regret it. I use mine almost every day.

Any format would be a copyright violation, right?>>>>>
Any transmission of any kind of copyrighted materials---INCLUDING
AutoSmart---is a serious violation of the author's and publishers copyright. As
the publisher, I am sorry to say, that I have already had to take legal action
in one case to stop unauthorized reproduction of AutoSmart, and we will do so
again if necessary.
Please, save yourself thousands of dollars in legal fees, and just buy a $90
copy of the book if you'd like to have it. Remember that the author dedicated
thousands of hours to AutoSmart and it is unfair to steal his work.
Thanks to all of you who understand this principle.

I agree! Autosmart is THE BEST automotive locksmithing book to come
down the pike in _years_ (as far as producing "first keys"). WELL worth
the money. Updates are a little steep but still (grudgingly) a
reasonable expense for the information contained within.
It's not that I don't think the updates worth it (fotry bucks, I think),
I just think that they _could_ do it for less _if_ they just issued the
new pages, instead of a whole new book.
Still, I wouldn't be without it.

The reason we don't just issue new pages to create an update is that a HUGE
percentage of the pages change, making it a thousand times easier to simply
sell you a whole new book, sharply discounted off the original cost you paid.
