I'm no longer prompted to download the player, so it seems that the plug-in
is detected. It's just that the actual flash anim. doesn't start.
I double-checked the file path for the plugin and everything checks out.
What's the next step?
What browser you using? I've been able to make it operate with both
Konqueror and Mozilla.
I'm afraid I can't offer much help at this point, without further
information... but has anyone else had a problem with the audio being
CONSTANTLY off-sync? For example, when music starts at the beginning of an
animation, by the end it will be about 3/4sec off from the video. This
really bugs the heck out of me! It's no fun to watch animutations when the
music doesn't even line up! I think this is a performance issue; everything
about the Flash player is slow -- the animations seem to stutter and the
right-click context menu takes about 1/2sec to pop up! I have a fast machine
and everything runs fine on the Windope version! I tried to find some kind
of configuration file or settings panel for the plugin, but to no avail.
Anybody get good performance using it?

I've got the same problem- after digging around the Macromedia website
for a bit, I found their FAQ at
http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/ts/documents/linux_player_readme.htm
Quoting from the 'Known Issues' section: "Video and Audio get out of
sync on long movies."
[ Yeah, right- longer than 3 seconds they mean... ;) ]
