Hi,

I have AntiX 16.2.

I tried to find out ("Help" was NO help) how to make a desktop
shortcut to a web browser (FireFox 62) located in "Applications",
"Network". Note: FireFox 52 is the default browser.

Thank You in advance, John

I don't use AntiX (I often use MageiaLinux, though) but I would have
thought you could just drag your FF62 (?? or did you mean FF52??) icon
from its Applications->Network location onto your desktop.

Hi,
The "drag and drop" (I am very familiar with) does NOT work.
Note: "drag and drop" does work if I downloaded a file and I want
to drag it to my USB flash drive from "Downloads" directory.

Also, Right click on "FireFox" located in sub-directory, "Internet"
produces NOTHING. In MS Windows, a right click on a program
presents a menu of options.

BTW,

In "Menu" (pops up with a right click on desktop), for "Browser",
has FireFox 52. I would settle for a way to add FireFox 62, located
in "Applications">"Internet" directory, to this menu.

Also, I would settle for a key stroke combo shortcut to launch
FireFox 62 instead of an icon on the desktop.

Again, Thank You in advance, John

Hi,
UPDATE:

Well I have a solution, not the ideal, but this I can live with.

In the main menu, I selected "Control Center", then selected "Edit
Menus". Then I selected "Personal". There was one item listed which
was a video. I removed that video. Then I have an option to "Refresh",
but before I did that, I selected "Add.." at which point, a long list of
programs, etc was displayed. I selected "FireFox" (v62) from the list.
Now, I clicked on "Refresh".

Now when I bring up (simple to do) the main menu, in the list, I click on
"Personal" and to the right of "Personal" is "FireFox". I click on that to
launch it. I can live with this approach since it is pretty quick.

O.K., but be aware ... as I understand things, a FF62 version would be a
developers version so may break things. As I recall FF59 is the latest
Release Version!

Hi,
That is the version (62), plus several other kinds of browsers,
including Tor, when I launched "Metalpackage-installer" to download Internet
browsers. Note: I never used "Metapackage-installer" before.
