Hi,

I am planning to virtualize a bunch of CentOS systems under the roof of
a pair of two Citrix XenServer machines (also CentOS).

The XenServer machines shall replicate their local data HDDs via DRBD.
If one machine fails the other one would jump-start the virtual guests
automatically. This would be done with a Heartbeat script.

Parallelly I want the XenServers serve data via NFS or iSCSI towards the
virtual guests and a few other (not virtualized) machines.

But how to I set up a NFS or iSCSI client to check for a different NFS
server or iSCSI target if one XenServer has failed and the other shall
continue to serve the data from it own replica?

I haven't found a "failover switch" for /etc/fstab yet. :-/

Any ideas?

CU,
Mᅵszi.
