Well, you might be surprised. Kentucky's not too different from
Tennessee in that regard but I've seen some stuff along those lines in
some of the better bookstores. {Joseph-Beth Booksellers has stores here
and in Ohio if you ever get there. Their website is
http://www.josephbeth.com/ You might be able to find some stuff there.}
And then there's always the internet. It just depends on where you look.
It's nice to see another southern fur 'round the place. Hope ta see ya
'round some.

I live in Elizabethton, probably the center of the Bible Belt, the fact

Aeth!! Welcome. *hugs* Bet you were'nt expecting that. Nice to see you. But
let's see here *reading through spectacles* Hmmm.. young, male wolf. Computer

But anyway, welcome again *hugs again*. Hope to see you around the NG a lot.

Holy damn!! Exact same time & situation for me; how very weird.
Found Furcadia by accident, then I found out about the furry
fandom / furry community as a result. What's your character
on Furcadia called, by the way?
Hm, this reminds me.. I should probably write a furvey myself.

Hello Aeth. Welcome home. At least, that's how it felt to me. While I'm
having a read of this here Furvey, help yourself to some food - there's
faggots (don't look at me like that! They're great big meatballs!),
cheese, pickles and probably some blackberry crumble if Russ hasn't
scoffed the lot already...

As far as the games go, have you tried alt.comp.freeware.games ?
Excellent place to ask about legal free games, as it's not infested
with W4R3Z D00DZ (or however the heck you spell it).

Welcome Aeth! I run the local tavern, but since you revealed your

your father smelt of elderberries! Are you French? Of course we are
French! Why else would we be speaking with these outrageous accents!

for blasphemy.

Heh. I once had an early morning chemistry class where I'd occasionally
fall asleep while taking notes. The result was some pretty interesting
digressions, when I could understand them.
I've heard of experiments using electrodes to get crude maps of mental
images, I wonder if we could record dreams...

I remember a news article about them doing it with cats. What I don't
know is which part of the brain the "image" comes from:
outside world -->
retina -->
visual processing in brain --> (1) here, or
mental perception of images --> (2) here
conscious model of reality -->
(loops back to mental perception in dreams)
If it was (1) I don't think we could see dreams, but if it was (2) I
think we could.
It'd be neat to see what cats dream about, in any case.

Mind, you don't need to be in Tennessee for that sort of thing. Life of

AFAIK it all started back with warez d00dz, people who crack the copy
protection on commercial software as a competition, to show their
skills. They'd boast in that sort of modified spelling, I guess because
they were bored and wanted to tweak english as much as code. When the
internet took off, so did the "dialect" and nowadays it's used more in a
sort of ironically self-aware mocking mode than seriously. Although
nowadays I've been told everything is both earnest and ironic at the
same time, so you can never tell if someone is serious or not. I just
don't know anymore. I'm going to go hide now. *sucks thumb*
I'll never look at cats the same way again.
