A large black shape slips out of the forest in the dead of night. He
has waited for all the lights in Homestead to wink out before
approaching. Keeping to the shadows he slips up to the bulletin board
and tacks up his furvey.

Yourself
========
1. What is your name? Prowl-Ar Nightiger

2. What is your email address? pro...@magiclink.com

3. Are you male or female? Male

4. What is your date of birth? October, 1974

5. Where do you live? South Central Idaho

6 What are your interests/hobbies? I'm an avid writer, though I rarely
allow anyone to read what I've written. I do a bit of camping and a lot
of collecting.

8. How would you describe your personality? I rarely say much,
preferring to just stand back and watch others.

10. Are you a meat eater? Most definitely

Furry media
===========
13. What type of furry literature do you enjoy reading? I read just
about anything that comes along.

14. What types of furry media do you create? I do a bit of writing
dealing with furry subjects.

15. What types of animal/furry theme decorations adorn your living
space?
Short list: Siberian tiger photo mosaic, lion wall handing, couple of
tiger figures painted black with white stripes, and a small stone tiger.

Furriness
=========
20. What is your phenotype? Panthera tigris nocturne (night tiger)

26. Has your furriness improved the quality of your life? I'm not
really sure whether it has or not. My quality of life has improved
since I've accepted that I'm were. However, I'm not sure that was what
created the increase in quality. One of the few things it has done to
improve things is it has given me a different view of life and how
precious it is.

Acting furry
============
29. Do you act furry in public? Yeah but only the usual growling when
I'm ticked off and mrring when I'm happy.

Furry thoughts
==============
32. Would you become an animal/furry, if you -couldn't- change back?
I've spent a lot of time considering this possibility and in all honesty
I'd have to say no. I consider myself to be were and that means
balancing both human and tiger aspects of myself. I’d be really tempted
by an anthropomorphic form but I’d have to be able to control just how
I’d look in the end.

Religion/Spirituality
=====================
35. Is your furriness compatible with your religion? I should hope so,
as I follow my own path.

36. Has your furriness led you to reconsider your religious beliefs?
I've never needed to reconsider my beliefs. I've been forced to modify
what I believe from time to time but I accept the choices that I've made
as being right at the time I made them since there is little I can do to
change the past.

39. Do you believe that you have an animal soul? Yes, but then so does
every other animal including humans.

Animals
=======
40. What animals are you most/least comfortable with?
Most: Cats and I’ll accept the occasional spider.
Least: Mice. I know; I know a tiger that has mouse issues seems
strange but hey I've had a few run ins with pack rats that have left a
few mental scars.

41. Do you believe that animals have ESP? When one animal is compared to
another of course it has extra sensory perception.

42. Do you think it is acceptable to hunt/raise animals for food? Yes,
predation is part of the natural balance.

43. Do you think it is acceptable to hunt/raise animals for fur/leather?
No.

44. Do you think it is acceptable to hunt/raise animals for sport?
Again yes, after all not all sports require that an animals have to be
killed.

Internet
========
47. How did you discover alt.lifestyle.furry?
I wandered in from AHWW.

48. What were your very first impressions of alt.lifestyle.furry?
How long before the mask of civility is put away and everyone is at
each other’s throats? It's been rather refreshing to discover that the
civility is the norm rather than a brief calm.

As the tack sinks in he glances over what he's written realizing this is
his last chance to change his mind. The decision made he turns and
slips back into the shadows. He's seen just how quickly some of the
residents can move when new furveys are posted.

Ah, a(nother) nocturnal fur. Welcome to Homestead, Prowl-Ar.

Always good to have more cats around. :)

Heh. Well, interesting furvey, and it's always good to have more furs
around. Hope you enjoy your stay.

Bein' the pervious fur to arrive, a cute morphic pink batty lands before
you with a basket of peaches clutched in her footpaws, mrrring happily
at being able to return the favor of the other furs who made the
offering of food to her.

"Nice t'meetcha," the bat mrrrrrls happily. "M'names Maxy."

Hey, welcome aboard, have yourself some MYNTZ!, and thanks for the read.
Curiousity question, sporadically in there you use a comma where most would
use an apostrophe, was that intentional?

It wasn't intentional, just a matter of working on more than one project at a

Let's not get carried away. I said I'll accept them not that I like them.
They're just better insect control than bug spray.

Tigers are so awesome! Tiger isn't my phenotype (Which was probably already
obvious from my name *laughs*) but they are beautiful animals.

I personally don't know how you can stand spiders. Guess you're braver than i
am. ;)

Well, welcome to ALF! I hope you enjoy it here. :)

Now I'm not saying I'm all that brave. It's just that I've made it a point to recognize the
difference between the Hobo and Brown Recluse, and the mostly harmless grey wolf spider.

The green-headed bear stumbles back into Homestead, another lost weekend
behind him. His fur smells of ****************excess information
deleted upon user request************** a slight grin on his face from
the memory.

Stopping in front of the bulletin board, the bleary-eyed bear sees a
much pawed-through Furvey tacked up that wasn't there when he left.

"Ahh, I've missed another arrival," he said in a soft whisper as he
pauses to read the Furvey.

Taking a notepad from the pocket of his waistcoat, the bear scribbles a
quick note, tacks it on the bulletin board, and stumbles back to the
nearly-completed house on the outskirts of Homestead.

The note reads:
Welcome, Prowl-Ar. I'm sorry I wasn't here to greet you properly. I've
been away this weekend, but I'm certain that our paths will cross,
eventually. Until then, welcome to Homestead.

I should have realized trying to hide after posting a furvey was impossible.

Nah, when the fish start complaining about the quality of the lure it's time
to quit fishing all together.

I love the winter snow and the cold doesn't seem to bother me. As for my um
... *looks at his Hawaiian T-shirt* Well ever since my winter coat came in
it's just too warm to wear anything else and I'm to modest to go O-Natural
{although everything is covered}.

Well normal is boring anyway, I've seen it but nobody believes me ...

Welcome Prowl-Ar Nightiger... lemme give that furvey a read while you dive
into this...

Hmmm, Mind if I call you "Prowlar" for short?

Wow... you sound just like Snap E Tiger over in Omaha.

~nods~ I know that feeling all too well.

Ah.. burn creme and first aid kit is in the bathroom. Also we've got plenty
of ice in the fridge, and plenty of liquid "painkillers" in there too.

We've had our flame fests too... but now I think a number of us realize when
they happen and have agreed not to let them rule us. We agree to disagree...
and we also agree that we are like a sort of extended family. Disfunctional
at times... but still a family of sorts. And we like to hear from our
relatives from time to time... even if'fn it's just old uncle bruno with a
case of the windies.

~sits next to a empty platter and looks around, and sniffs for a second~

Oh...BTW... bathroom is upstairs and the second door on the right in case
you want to gargle.
Garlic... natures way of saying..."Here I am!"

Not at all as long as you remember that the second syllable is a hard "R" rather
than an "er" sound.

Right in the middle of it.

Actually I'm one of the few that didn't get burned. Which has caused some
problems in its own way.

It already sounds better than a few members of my RL family. And a lot safer as
well I've only seen Super Soakers and trank guns around here.
