Yeah I know, I'm feeling a bit lonely right now, I'm not even sure
why, maybe it's because I sometimes get into a depressed state for
who-knows-what-reasons. I guess that everybody feels lonely at times.

Between just looking at artwork of furs together and actually not
having anyone in the real world. I guess I've gotten into a bit of a
blue spell. Oh well I'll get back to being self righteous at some
point and all will be well again.

I usually either just slam on some music and hit the code until there are no
longer any human thoughts in my head, or go hang out with the Llamasofties
(there are usually some to be found on the net at any given time, either in
the forum or in IRC).

Buck deer are alone most of the year, maybe hang around with a few other
bucks, but for the most part alone. The prospect of new friends and
relationships is what keeps us going. Alone isn't forever, it's just an
interlude between loves.

Great Googly Moogly...are those still left over from that marshmallow
creme fight we had last year? The one where I flew over, opened a coupla
bags of rice and fire-breathed them as they fell onto the field that was
covered with marshmallow creme, thus making the world's largest known
batch of those things?
Sheesh. They must be getting stale by now...

Sometimes you are so alone there is no word for lonely. That is how I
always feel. There just ain't a word for it, so you use "alone" but that
does not even begin to describe the feeling, much less do it justice.
Uh... my long winded way of saying "I know how you feel, join the club and
that is what we are for."

I read, paint, draw, try to write stories or poetry, get drunk if possible...
mostly I sort of lurk around ICQ... if I log onto AIM I'm afraid I'll be
mobbed by all the adoring fan boys. at least on ICQ I can hide. I could
probably say hi to the few people I see on, but then sometimes ICQ eats
messages. then I get frustrated, so I think it's just not worth the
aggravation. and I don't do IRC just because. I can't explain it, I just
don't like it. I could go over to Yahoo, but too many people know me there.
It used to be great. All the regulars in cat chat. Kind of like a real time
homestead. But then all the drama started. Then Yahoo decided to stick it
somewhere else and it was invaded by trolls and now I don't want to log on
anymore. I just get a bunch of PMs from old friends saying they wish me well,
but life is kicking their ass or they're just getting too old, getting on in
years, and they have to retire from the net. blah blah blah. can't moderate
the club, can't chat, can't live... I don't want to log on again and find all
my friends are gone.
Charles Knott, where ever you are, I love you and your family, take care of the
furry ones.

I gave up IRC many moons ago, as being too... harsh somehow, IDK, I never
felt comfortable there. I left Usenet for ages for the same reason too...
(and how did I end up here... I used to watch this place because I found
Furry culture fascinating, and now, here I am, I appear to have gone
native... but I digress)...
I only restarted IRC this week, because it came up in the Llamasoft forum
that some of us wanted to go realtime... damn, I had forgotten how to use
the software, been so long. But it's not like it was before somehow.
There's no need for kicking and banning and nobody squabbles for ops
(usually nobody even knows about ops). The Llamasofties are the most
chilled-out online community I have ever been in. It's nice, and relaxing,
and I feel good about being able to just drop in there and speak to others
for a while. I didn't like it before but somehow amongst these people it is
OK.
Listening to a last bit of Underworld, and then off to bed... long day,
involving having to obtain and set up a gnu server. Most Underworld lyrics
are incomprehensible but these make some kind of insane sense to me, relate
to what I try and do. I must be too tired. I should sleep.

I haven't had this problem in a *long* time. I think Mirabilis got
around to fixing thier servers. Don't know about the official client,
but it's such a bloated piece of shit and the java version sucks so bad
that I don't use it, opting instead for licq.

That, and Yahoo will sell you to the spammers[1].

Where anyone who posts is a rare sight indeed. Every time I
login all I see are names I have never seen attached to a post here,
so I rarely bother going there anymore. As for ICQ and the rest. I
virtually never use them. Either I forget they are there or do not
want to be annoyed by all the different chat windows. Better IRC than
tons of divergent conversations to confuzzle this old feline.

pruned the hedge...
then after getting a nice little blister, i went and caught some wild
kittens...

*pat pats* yes, hunny, thank you... I never watch. Therefore I wouldn't
know how many times Simmons had been doused with a fire extinguisher...
