Kamau sighs as he remembers the fun all the furs had last year placing their
own decorations on the tree. He wonders if it will happen again with all
the troubles the Homestead seems to be having right now. A low roar draws
his attention from the tree and the Kamau the Lion who stands at the edge of
the clearing. He seems to say "Well go ahead, someone has to start."
Kamau AV nods and reaching into his pocket. He draws out a box and opens it
drawing out a small plush King Moonracer Ornament from his Rudolph the
raindeer collection which he places on the tree. Kamau the Lion comes up
beside him and gives him a gentle headrub. "I still think a winged lion
with a crown is just right for a fine Christmas tree." he seems to say.
Kamau nods and looks at the path back to the lodge. "I just hope it doesn't
stay the only decoration on the tree."

I'll be the furst to get out my decorations! I so enjoy going out into the
woods and finding a tree.
<gets out some generic round shiny ornaments and begins to decorate>
Not that a beautiful tree really needs much to look good, maybe a little bit
of illumination...
<gets out some spotlights, and puts them around the tree, pointing up at it,
but clears the area around them so they don't light anything on fire,
because that wouldn't be fun>

Ahhh... beat to the tree. I guess that was your point here though :-)

I guess not :-) Although my Christmas trees are generally minimalistic, you
can decorate it all you like.

*In the quiet of the clearing after Kamau has left,... in a twist of light and
shadow, Painless Wolf is there. He looks at the Lion's ornament and
smiles.....taking a moment to reflect upon the past year and all it has given
and taken away. The tall, black Wolf then carefully hangs his own ornament, a
porcelin full Moon with all of the mountains, plains and 'seas' carefully
handpainted on. He turns, looks up the trail to the lodge and mentally wishes
them all a warm and loving 'Happy Holidays', then is gone once again as if
never really there at all. The Moon ornament, glowing against the deep green of
the tree, tells the truth of the tale tho', for any Fur who happens by to see,
Homestead's beautiful Christmas tree.

...Here for the Dawn...
Amy-Neko skitters up to the tree and sniffs it, then promptly sneezes."Chuu!
yup, all pine fresh and stuffs! Might I be able to hang some stuff on it?!"
Giggiling, she reaches behind her and pulls out some silver and blue
holographic garland, covered with little snowflakes and stars."It's da
prettiest garland I ever saw, and I think it would look nice here!" With a
wicked kitty grin on her face, she begins to run circles around the tree with
garland in hand. "Nya-ha!! There ya go...ooh, wait a sec, I still got an
ornament ta hang on here!" Quickly, she rummages around in her pockets untill
she finds it. "Nyatta! Here we go..!" In her hands sits a small ornament of a
little black winged cat, with glittering aqua eyes. She looks around for a
second, then places it on the tree somewhere near the middle and smiles. "Merry
Christmas everyone!"

"Reminds me of the old days," he says. Then grinning
he adds "Don't forget that we have to burn a snowman

"Now! What can our resident Kirin do to the tree
to make this little holiday display... extra special?" :)

Whoolf is just running through Homestead when he detects
a tree with some pretty decorations on it. Immediately he
stops and comes closer.
'Wow, another beautiful surprise, here.', he thinks. 'Let's see
what I can add.'
He opens his backpack and looks for something special.
'This is good.'
He takes something like a little ball. (No, it's not a wool-wad)
It's glittering in all colours. After some vainly attempts to hang
it on he changes into an anthro-cheetah. After the work is
done he prefers to be a 'normal' cheetah again.
Proudly looking at his new decoration he perks up his ears
and hears a little melody coming from the glittering ball.
'It's functioning. Every time, when someone comes closer
he can hear this melody.'
Content he goes on with his run.

I didn't seem to show any tree up in the NG (but then I'm still not back on
my best PC with the better news reader) so I thought I'd start one from last
year.
Feel free to ignore the silly lion's mistake.
*A certain red Celtic fox pops around from the other
side of the tree, holding a mug of coffee, in a "Go
Navy" mug.... "No way, Relee... I won't forget that...
or the Christmas Feast this year!"
It's not your fault, though I notice you're not the only fur who put
your ornament on the wrong tree. Or rather the right tree, cause this
is the tree that's inside.
*Falls to the ground* OOF!
Remind me not to point out the non-existance of something that's
holding me up next time...
(The original post was *The Tree* by Smrgol)
A christmas feast??? OOOOOoooo!!!! This should be fun! *tries not to
drool* Want any help in the kitchen? I can make a mean stuffing! It goes
down nice and smooth... and keeps going strait to your hips, and sticks
there until the end of time! Really good stuff...
*chuckle*
MiMiC
"Well, after some searching, I was able to find the rest of my
ordaments, hidden behind some of my halloween stuff... I really should
organize my basement better..."
And with that, MiMiC prys open the box, hanging many small boxes of the
generic multi-coloured balls, decorated pinecones, cloth santas, as well
as a few etched glass balls.
Coming to the end of his supply, he pulls out a small pagage, carefully
wadded with layers upon layers of tissue paper, eventually drawing forth
a hollow white ball, cut open on one side, with a small bluebird perched
on the opening, seeming to sing for the onset of spring.
Next emerges a small bell, made mostly of silver, with his (full) name
and date of birth ornatly inscribed upon it, giving off a musical tingle
as it is hung by a gold-coloured thread.
Finally, MiMiC unwraps with infinate care, a small wooden carving of a
nativity scene. Beloging ot his great-grandmother, it was carved for her
by her husband for their first christmas together, and has eventually
passed down to MiMiC. While it may not look like much, it means more in
it's existance, than in it's beauty.
"Well, there now, the tree is looking much better filled up now..." and,
looking about, he continues, "Well, who's next? ...hmmmm... mebbe I
should make some eggnog... that outta jumpstart some of you furs... or,
at least, give you a good pounding headache the next day... *chuckle*"

Mine tend to have trillions of ornaments on them ;o) I have a set of hawaiian
Santa

(meep

Spamsux. So take it out of my address.
Cool :-) It might also be that I'm just too lazy to bother, but I really do
like to see the tree by itself, maybe lit up a little to show off the
intrensic intricate beauty of life, but the tree by itself is good for me.
I've made ornaments before, one was a dodecahedron of paper, it was a "pox"
virus model.

-(Lucas hears a small *tink* noise from within the pile of discarded
tissue paper that had been wrapped around MiMiC's ornaments. Seeing
that MiMiC is involved with hanging things on the tree, Lucas reaches
his paw under the pile of pastel paper. He pulls out a small ball
and looks at it. The sphere starts vibrating and buzzing.)-
"Yeeeooow!"
-(Juggling the ball from one paw to the other, he hastily drops it
back into the tissue paper. The ball, now revealed to be an
unsettlingly realistic eyeball, buzzes and flashes lights for a few
seconds more before returning to its previous quiescent state.)-
"Uh, MiMiC?" The rat puts a hand to his chest and breathes out
slowly. "I think some of your halloween stuff got mixed into the
christmas decorations."
