LOL. Thank you. Your response to Bozo saved me from having to ask him directly, "What work?" Actually watching TV is a luxury, even watching crappy stuff. In fact, the crappier it is the more luxurious it is. To be able to volunteer hours to doing something day after day and then complaining about it is a luxury of the highest order.

I got rid of the cable. Just watch shows on the internet. Cable was costing over a 100 bucks plus another 50 for internet. Cable is all commercials. They need to pay us to watch it.

I am afraid of buying into the internet bundling scam. I have an old TV someone gave to me. It is not equipped for antenna use as the newer ones are. I would go with the antenna if I had a newer TV. The other night the cable in our building went down and I had no phone, tv, or computer use for hours. NO biggie I can live without any of it. But I don't want to go wireless either. I do not want a lap top. I don't carry a cellphone. I suppose if someone said I had to get rid of all devices and could keep just one it would be a toss up between the radio and the phone, with the radio winning out. It's the only entertainment source not requiring a service provider, although certainly "they" are working toward it.

Walked 3 miles to the cable company yesterday - then back. Got two sets of boxes and remotes to replace the old failing ones. When I got home I called the service to get walked through the set up process. I have a good memory and had an idea how it was done last time - programming the remote. But I figured, why take chances, so I called for the walk through. I got a black woman. She sounded stressed. She started telling me how to do it and it wasn't working. I told her that's not the way I remembered it from last time. She wanted me to hold down two buttons at the same time on the remote, but it wasn't working. I told her I remembered something different. Then she had me hold on while she got a manual out and began reading me the instructions, which I could tell she was reading for the first time. Finally she got frustrated and said she had other customers to tend to. "Call back if you have trouble", she said. When she hung up I did it my way, the way I remembered it from last time. It worked. It was hilarious and stupid - I called the experts because I didn't want to make any mistakes, but in reality I was the expert. Man, the people in the workforce, especially the techno support people, are getting worse and worse by the day. I hate relying on this crap. If I ever get to the tipping point - live with or without any devices at all - I think for purposes of maintaining health and lack of stress I would opt all the way out.

Bozo, the old antennas do not work, not a lick. If you want go with an antenna these days you will need a digital TV, or whatever the newer models are called. I know what I'm talking about here, I know people who use antenna TV. And the reception is great, at least the ones I saw in action. But the old school 'analog' TVs will not work. They must be newer models, digital or whatever they are called. I know it sounds oxymoronic, but it's true. Don't you remember a few years ago when they announced that as of a certain date no TVs would be able to get TV reception via the airwaves? In order to do so you would have to buy a converter box. But the ones I saw, specifically one in a doctors office - it was a flat screen TV - had great reception. I saw the TV and noticed no mass of wires as one usually sees with cable TV. No big box. Then I looked up and saw a small wire going up the wall to a small flat thing that was the antenna. I even asked the receptionist about it. Believe me Bozo, you cannot get TV with an antenna unless it's a newer digital type TV (or whatever they call the newer models). If I could get it with the TV I have I'd already have it.

You must be psychic, Bozo - truth is I called the cable company at 6:45PM thinking that 45 minutes was more than enough time to get me ready for watching Jeopardy which comes on at 7:30. No joke. However, I didn't get everything resolved until 5 minutes to 8, and my plans to watch Jeopardy were over. Also, for your information, I was not venting against the female negro tech assistant, it was more a gleeful expression of self value when I realized once again that I know more than my failing confidence level allows me to think I know at times. I was proud that I did it myself. I could have done it myself from the start but didn't want to be bullheaded about. Once again I put myself in the hands of experts only to find that I know more than they do. Of course they are not real experts, but sometimes you luck out and get a real one. In this case I failed in that regard. The woman was reading instructions to me from a sheet, I could tell - same as the time I went into Walmart and asked a guy in the electronics department about a certain item and he picked up the box and began reading it to me. He did not do it to show me up, he was seriously struggling with it, I could tell, and was trying to be helpful in his own inept way. In many things I simply lack confidence, and when thrust into being forced to handle things myself, they usually turn out ok. Not always though. There are certain areas where I know I am stupid for a fact. But sometimes I think I know less than I do and I turn to the experts and find out I know more than they do. It's funny, but I don't always laugh about it, at least not right away.

I know. That is why I want to get a word processor without internet, just a machine I can use a flash drive on. Also a radio. All appliances that require as little tech help as possible. Or no appliances at all if and when I reach the tipping point where a decision to go with tech or without has to be made.

I strongly suspect it was always a handful relatively speaking. Take Pennsylvania for example. The name means "Penn's woods." It was a playground for William Penn and his pals. One was a guy named William Allen whom my hometown of Allentown was named after. The second President of the US was Adams. Right? If not second, somewhere close. Only a few terms later his son John Quincy Adams took office. This shit has been going on from the start. I think it was less noticeable back then only because there were less people in general. Now we have swarming ghettos ready to explode and mass poverty and violence everywhere, so of course the select few become more noticeable and more resented. But I believe they have existed in our country from the very start. Most of our Presidents have been lawyers. And look at the politicians, they come in families just like they did with John Quincy Adams. We have the Tafts, the Rockafellers, the Bush's, the Dalys, the Clintons, and so on. We are not a monarchy like England which has one King and one Queen - we have a whole slew of them. I don't care if everyone in the world has more money than me, as long as I've got enough to eat and a roof over my head with no large bugs and no one crashing through my walls. But I know what you're saying, of course the cash has always been in the hands of a select few. Being a real slave could beat having a job, depends on what kind of owner you get. If you can't get to the top you're better off near the bottom, less conspicuous, incognito, not perceived as a threat - as long as you're not living in a war zone.

Totally agree. I saw a comic on Johnny Carson last night. He was not that funny, but I enjoyed a bit he did about people bitching about the cost of postage stamps going up to 35 cents or something at that time. He went into a rant about people getting bombed in this or that country, people starving all over the world, etc., and here we have a bunch of people bitching about the cost of a stamp. Then he went into something I myself have thought of many times, how you put a letter in an envelope and drop it in a box and some guy comes along and picks it up and 3 days later it arrives 3,000 miles away for the cost of 35 cents and people are bitching. Same thing with fast food, it's never fast enough for these assholes. Nothing is. Incredible how spoiled they are. I guess I can include myself in the group somewhere to some extent, but not as much as most. Man, what spoiled brats.

There are a ton of ways to cause destruction. Drive a truck loaded with bombs into the Lincoln Tunnel during rush hour, set it to go off in 10 minutes, then get out of the truck and walk out of the tunnel. When the bomb goes off the tunnel will become like the barrel of a gun, blowing fire out both ends, charring everyone and every thing in it's blazing path. There are tons of ways to kill a bunch of people at one time. The fact that it's not happening more often tells me the muslim scare is mostly bogus, just another excuse to say when nothing bad happens that it was because our security people saw it coming and nipped it in the bud. It's like a bum standing by your parked car when you come back to it after running some errands and he says, "Don't worry, I was watching it while you were gone", like now you owe him something. The security boys are no different. Maybe there are some muzzies who wish us harm, but if the threat were as big as claimed, there would be a whole hell of a lot more devastation going on than is currently seen. Either that or they are just stupid and need to attend my new school I'm opening this week - "101 ways to kill a bunch of people all at once."

Scientists have dug up the graves of Marx and Hitler, Stalin too. They are working on the DNA of those guys, trying to bring them back to life. Not the originals, they are nothing but scrawn and bone. But with DNA they can replicate those guys, and that's what they're trying to do. Why? To restore peace during civil outbreaks.

For example, take the recent troubling events in Charlottsville. Nothing could stop both sides from violence. No amount of police presence could quell them - both sides, the lefties and the righties. But, had Marx, or Stalin, or Hitler have been there, order would have been restored pronto. All three would have taken a readily mounted stage, high up with microphones and bullhorns in hand. "Stop the madness", Hitler would have shouted as his followers gazed on in awe. "Yes", Marx would add, "please, Gentlemen, let's not let this get out of hand", as the lefties in attendance are halted in their tracks with their all-time hero speaks to them directly. These guys need to be restored via DNA and brought back to life to use in emergency situations where law and order needs to be restored pronto. We can do this thing!

What a shit singer and song writer Lennon was. Can't believe the number of singing competition people do covers of his crap. Bad, real bad. "Imagine" is the worst. Heavy handed, lousy lyrics, a sucky tune. I only heard Ono sing once and I sort of liked it in a gimmicky way, sort of like Tiny Tim, only female, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to sit around listening to it all day or even more than a minute. What a disgusting couple they were. Remember that nude photo of them? Sickening? You look at a photo of Lennon's pasty body and it makes you realize why some white broads go for black guys.

Yeah, or Mick Jagger, like at the Altamont Concert where fights are breaking out and people are getting stabbed and he's on the mic going, "People, come on people, this isn't right", and nothing he says is putting a dent in the action. It's almost like it was done on his part just to look good, but with bad acting, like he knew ahead of time the assholes he had hired to keep 'the peace' might erupt in violence. No, Lennon or Jagger won't cut it. No musician will. Only Hitler or Stalin or maybe Charles Manson would have the power to make them stop and pay heed.

I have seen footage of the Altamont concert where stabbings and beatings took place. It is funny to see the 'charismatic' and 'influential' Jagger meekly imploring the crowd to behave. It's almost as if he wanted it to continue while at the same time striving to maintain his love and peace image. But his meek urgings for peace were quite obviously fraudulent. For all we know he had a raging hard-on beneath his jeans as the melee broke out, his british boner exploding in culmination at just the moment that biker's knife plunged into the back of the unruly hippie.

Black so far seems to be the bottom rung on the race ladder. They are number 1

Top can be argued. I go for some Caucasian race but the argument can be made for Jap or chink. The if it is Caucasian there are plenty of sub races. Pollack is no good. Englishmen is not a top one either. German could be it but they tend to be a bit crazy. And a white Jew is not really white.
