Well, the job description "Journalist" - at least
as we know it - didn't start to pop up until the
latter 60s. There were 'journalists' before that,
but most were from a different school of reporting.
Modern 'journalists' are propagandists, uninterested
in Truth ... merely in creating disinformation to
further some or another crusade, or just to be
sensationalistic in hopes of getting rich.
"Journalists" rank below 'reporters' IMHO. At least
ordinary reporters stick pretty close to the facts
as best they know them - and the reader/listener
can draw their own conclusions as to the meaning
and relevance of the information. 'Journalists'
create 'fictionalized modern history', cherry-
picking facts and basically TELLING you what
you're supposed to think how important it all
may be. You can almost visualize them writing
"insert sad violin music here" ....
