HOUSTON (AP) — A Texas man whose two young sons were killed in a
traffic accident has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting at
the crash scene of a suspected drunken driver.

Brothers David Jr. and Caleb Barajas were helping their father push
their broken-down pickup truck when a vehicle driven by 20-year-old
Jose Banda plowed into them. The December accident happened just 50
yards away from the Barajas' rural Houston-area home.

Banda was later found shot. Brazoria County sheriff's investigator
Dominick Sanders says witnesses saw David Barajas Sr. next to Banda's
vehicle when shots were fired.

Barajas has been indicted for murder and was being held Monday in the
Brazoria County Jail on a $450,000 bond.

WITH mitigating circumstances when it
comes to the sentencing anyhow ...

Of course this sort of thing wouldn't happen if
the 'justice' system was functioning properly. It
has become so infested with complexities and
loopholes and delays that nobody feels 'justice'
is being done anymore.

That sense of "justice" isn't something readily
quantified, nothing that can be put into an equation ...
it's one of those "emotional things" and any system that
is expected to render justice has to appease those
emotions in the population. If it doesn't, then
institutionalized "justice" is dead meat and things
drift back to dog eat dog, vigilantes and lynchings.

Not to mention bribery of witnesses which is legal and right out in
the open. We also have a big problem with judges taking
bribes. Hasn't been legalized yet but they all do it.

USED to be that news reporters would ferret-out
such things, but Kim Kardashian's latest 'doo has
been deemed more important.

Why was Clark Kent a newspaper man ? Because in
the 20s/30s/40s/50s, even up to Woodword and
Bernstein, news guys were generally seen as
honest crusaders for Truth. Nowadays ... lower
than ambulance-chasers ; scum and propagandists,
whores and tools of the elite. They no longer
shine a light on power, but into our eyes to
blind us to the truth.

Yeah - people used to think of journalists as good guys but in fact
they were corporate and govt whores back in the 20s to
50s also. The internet of the last 20 years has opened people's eyes.

Well, the job description "Journalist" - at least
as we know it - didn't start to pop up until the
latter 60s. There were 'journalists' before that,
but most were from a different school of reporting.
Modern 'journalists' are propagandists, uninterested
in Truth ... merely in creating disinformation to
further some or another crusade, or just to be
sensationalistic in hopes of getting rich.

"Journalists" rank below 'reporters' IMHO. At least
ordinary reporters stick pretty close to the facts
as best they know them - and the reader/listener
can draw their own conclusions as to the meaning
and relevance of the information. 'Journalists'
create 'fictionalized modern history', cherry-
picking facts and basically TELLING you what
you're supposed to think how important it all
may be. You can almost visualize them writing
"insert sad violin music here" ....

Those with an IQ higher than that of a radish have learned by
examining history that "one size fits all" laws are unfair and not
justice. You're kind of an "absolutist" type of fascist. Except where
you personally are concerned.
