I just went through PRK surgery (left eye done two fridays ago, right
eye done last friday) and my doctor suggested that I start using Muro
128 5% ointment at night. He says that it should help to speed up my
recovery, and improve my focus. But all the references I found online
indicate that this ointment is used to relieve dry eyes. I don't have
a problem with dry eyes, and my vision is very good after the surgery,
although I know that it will continue to improve for a few more
weeks. So, basically, I rather not use it, since I am not too
thrilled about putting gunky stuff into my eyes. I would like to hear
from anyone who has used this ointment after PRK for the purpose of
improving focus and sharpness, or any other recommendations in this
regard.
Much Thanks,
Irina Paley
Good luck going forward and enjoy your new and improved vision.
Sorry if I seem dense on this, but how is this Muro stuff better than
just using lubricating drops, which are significantly less icky?
