ALC60 Flashes

is it possible to use a plasma ball to start a hard to start alc60 ?
or are they to week?
i´m thinking the oudin coil trick :)

my tube only flashes on the start pulses with a 488nm blue light

ps would it help if i baked the tube in my oven ;)

NO, dont bake the tube., unless you know it has hardsealed brewster
windows and not epoxy.

Only if its a absolute last ditch effort and your sure your PSU is
perfect and working with another head.

That is really only used as a last ditch effort on certain SP glass
tubes.

try a tesla coil or oudin coil first.

and how many volts and amps should it be?
