Low Power Coherent Verdi V-5

Hey Everyone,

I recently got a Coherent Verdi V-5 with a missing LBO and etalon. I
replaced both parts with exact copies from another identical laser. I
aligned them and got the unit making green at ~16A pump current (2 10W
808nm FAP-I Diodes). After tuning the angle on the LBO and etalon then
tuning temperature on both, I got the laser up to ~300mW of green.

I tested the power and spectrum out of the fiber of one of the diodes
I could get to and found it to make ~10.8W @20A, the max current on
the power supply. The emission spectra was 4-5nm wide. I need to
measure the other one, but it appears to be making similar power.

I tuned the temp on the LBO and found a peak around 151.12C, the
etalon was best around 50C. I am able to tune diode temperatures, but
I don't see any real change in performance if I lower or raise it.

The laser makes a clean TEM00 beam and has no side lobes or
artifacts.

Any ideas on what the problem might be?
