1970 as a gallicising of the English "acronym". Source : "Les
mots anglais du français", Jean Tournier, Belin, 1998, page 99.
The 1921 "Tout-en-un" goes directly from acromion to acronyque.
The 1982 "Dictionnaire des anglicismes" does not mention it.
