That there are "deponent" or otherwise "defective verbs", that is
verbs which do not have all possible forms in their conjugation -
that is well-known. (For example, there is Wikipedia treatment.)
Is there such a phenomenon for the declension of nouns (or adjectives)?
Well, of course, there are nouns for which there is no plural (dual,
singular), and the vocative case is often enough missing. But how
about a noun which does not exist in the *nominative*?
