and the culture it represents)


Presents, Mehfil e Mushaira

An evening of Urdu Poetry with Nasr. The Finest Bay Area Poets will grace
the occasion.

Date: Friday, February 27, 1998, 7:30 p.m.

Venue: Club House at the Heritage Village, 38010 Fremont Blvd., Fremont,
California 94536.

Directions: From 880 North or South, Take Mowry Avenue East (Central
Fremont) exit. Make a left on Fremont Boulevard. Pass Country Drive and
Eggers. After Eggers slow down and get into the right lane. Make a right
on Heritage. Heritage ends at the clubhouse.

Parking Instructions: Limited guest parking is available at the venue.
Please carpool to avoid congestion at the venue, reduce smog and save our
earth and your own money.

Program:
7:30 to 7:45 p.m.: Assembly, Registration and Introductions.
7:45 to 8:00 p.m.: Nazm
8:00 to 10:00 p.m.: Mehfil-e-Mushaira featuring the best of
the Bay Poets.

Donations: A donation of $ 2.00 per person is suggested. The Urdu
Institute of California welcomes any and all contributions, donations etc.
to facilitate the activities of the Institute.

For the benefit of people who are NOT in the bay area (or are too far to make
it!), can someone who attends this mushaira be kind enough to post excerpts
from it.
