Check out this site www.eurdubazaar.com, which is dubbed by many as
"the" best Urdu website on the net. The site contains a meticulous
selection of 100 most important books of Urdu. Spanning some 350 years
of the language, the site covers every important book written during
the period, from Dewaan-e-Wali Deccani to Maah-e-Tamaam by Parveen
Shakir.
Besides poetry, you can also read a selection of the greatest afsaanas
(short stories), humor, autobiographies, and safar naamas ever written
in Urdu.
Your comments/suggestions/critique will be highly appreciated.

Very nice job, indeed! Its a wonderful addition to websites dedicated
to Urdu poetry and Urdu literature.
Thanks very much for appreciating our humble effort. Do you work for
Urdupoetry or something? I mean Urdupoetry was one of the inspirations
for building eUrdubazaar.com.
Please keep in touch for we are planning a massive up-date of the site
shortly.
Zafar
Excellent site. Thanks!
Its a pity though that unlike Nita's Urdu Poetry site, those who cannot
read Urdu script will not be able to take advantage!!
Cheers!

Zafar sahib,
www.urdupoetry.com is my website. I have had it for 4 years now. But
it is a passion of mine that I work on in my spare time. I work full
time as a software consultant for Verizon in Dallas, TX. I wish I
could work solely on my websites :-)
I showcase websites on Urdu poetry from time to time in my mailing
lists and on my website also. I will definitely be showcasing
eUrdubazaar.com. I will look forward to the update that you mention.
I too work on eUrdubazaar in the evenings or on weekends, but unlike
you, my profession (I'm a pharmacist) does not have any correlation
with either computers or literature :)
I'd be grateful if you include eUrdubazaar in the links on your site.
Dear Abida:
Thanks for appreciation. You'd be glad to know that the next update
that I was discussing with Abida not only has many Roman Urdu versions
of some of the selected works but also English translations of not
only poetry but also some short stories. What's more, we have a lot of
visual stuff which would go online shortly. Some samples are already
there: for e.g., Ghalib's seal, letters and ghazals in Mir, Ghailb and
Munir Niazi's handwriting, paintings of Sadeqain and Aslam Kamal on
Mir, Ghalib and Iqbal's poetry, etc.
I'd request that you subscribe for our newsletter to keep abreast of
what's going on at eUrdubazaar.
Regards,
Zafar
Have already subscribed to your newsletter and looking forward to the
Roman Urdu versions and English translations of poetry and short stories
and the 'visual' stuff ' on your web site.
Yours and Nita's devotion to Urdu is amazing. The amount of time and hard
work you both are putting into setting up these sites is really worth
appreciating.
Thanks Nita and Zafar Sahib !
Cheers!!

I've been working furiously on Faiz page of www.eurdubazaar.com. I
hope you'd be able to see it in two days. I'm quite sure that nothing
of the sort has ever been attempted on the Net. The Faiz page is
followed by Ghalib, which should be ready in a week's time.
Thanks again for your nice words.
Regards,
Zafar
Will be looking forward to the Faiz and Ghalib enhancements to your web
site.
Yours gratefully !
