Buzm-e-Ghazal by Naseem Bano Chopra

discussed here several times in reference to her enigmatic background
singing of the Mir ghazal in the
movie Pakeezah. I am referring to Ye Dhuan Kahan Se UthTa Hai when
Sahib Jaan is visiting Bibban and relating
the waqiya on the train about Salim slipping the "mele ho jayenge"
note between her toes.
There is a Mir ghazal here but unfortunately not this one.

Thanks a ton for posting these ghazals! Ever since I discovered the
identity of the mystery singer in 'Pakeezah', I had been trying to
find more of her music, but with no success till you posted these.
My expectations seem to have been heightened greatly by what I heard
of her in "Pakeezah" - while these ghazals are well sung, the spark
that is there in "dekh to dil ki jaa.n se" is not quite present here.
Also, her enunciation in these ghazals is somewhat affected
(reminiscent of Madhurani, although not quite as affected as hers).
Even with these caveats, these recordings are very valuable - and I
find that they tend to grow on one!
[Am taking the liberty of cross-posting to RMIM - there is likely to
be greater interest in this there rather than on RMIC! Have retained
the entire post above so RMIMers can see the relevant details.]

Only recently I heard the Daag Dehlvi ghazals by Madhurani and quite
impressed by the quality of her singing. I believe she has another
album of Ghalib ghazals. I have been searching for the Ghalib ghazals
with no luck. Can you help? Thanks

You need to sign up to download torrents from the site. You also have

search for "Naseem Bano Chopra" on the site and download the torrent

Naushad's autobiography mentions it. I tried hunting a lot for her
music and for more information about her, but the only thing I found

I am not familiar with Madhurani's Daag ghazal but I have the
following of her ghazals on a cassettte ripped from an LP some 20 or
so years ago.

album. If it is not too much trouble, could you please rip the
cassette into WAV, MP3 or AAC file (whichever is convenient) and Email
to me. I will be grateful forever. If you want, I can send all the
Daag ghazals of Madhurani I have.
