DUKHI PREM NAGARI!!

One of my Mehdi Hasan CD indicates the Mehdi Hasan/Talat Aziz naGhma
below that was on one of Nita's gHazal of the day (incorrectly
attributed as being an Ustaad DaaGh Dehlavi writing), was actually
written by a film lyricist in Pakistan who went by the name "Dukhi Prem
Nagari"!!!

Today's naGma/geet has been sung by Mehdi Hassan and
Talat Aziz. Both have sung it in identical tunes.

tum baad_shaah-e-husn ho husn-e-jahaan ho

Well, that seems highly unlikely. And let's not forget, there are a couple
of albums which give the poet as Daag Dehlvi.

Of course, these are the same people who attributed Akbar Allahabadi's
"hangaamaa hai kyuu.N barpaa" to Daag also.
