"Motum" or "moveo"

Greetings.

Can someone tell me if, "modus motum" is a valid way of phrasing "(a)
mode to move (a thing)"? Or, would "modus moveo" be more accurate?
Or, do neither of those make sense?

I can't get sense out of either of those. Perhaps what you're looking for is
"modus movendi" (cf. modus operandi).
