Hi Paul,

In French it signifies: les veines de la veuve voisine.
In English, I think: the veins of the widow next door.

Has something happened to your neighbor?

Regards,
Mat

Salve, Paule.

As John translated it. Said by Caesar, a tad conceitedly (he paid for it 3
years later), after the battle of Zela (in Pontus), 2nd August, 47 BCE,
where he overcame Pharnaces, son of Mithridates (who was a thorn in Rome's
side for quite a time.

Gratias, Erneste. Quotiens impetrabuntur conversiones
verborum locutionumque aliquo in dictionario anglico
reperiendorum? Utrum nemo hodierno die legit, an
ei statim in computatrum exarandum est? Praeterea,
in hac re illi tentationi resistere non potui. ;-)

Salutem,
Mat
