Official abstract: "The text here presented is a topographically ordered
series of written in Latin language descriptions, treating ancient (before
313 A.D.) art monuments of town Rome. It is preliminary result of the work
conceived some time ago and aiming at the preparation of art guide-book to
the ancient town Rome, complete and detailed as far as possible, which
would lean on latest archeological data and � in what concerns the choice
of exposition language � on the humanist literary tradition, being a kind
of manual for those who intend to go deep into studies of Roman antiquity."
