θαῦμα ἰδέσθαι (Iliad, Book 5, line 711); which, given the missing
obsolete digamma, is a perfect hexameter ending, as is "mirabile dictu".
That opens the door in Greek for any other passive infinitive, just as
Latin can have "mirabile visu" or " mirabile auditu".
The grammar is different. How would you feel about Latin "mirabile videri"?
