Lan,

you might want to reconsider and stay on. it's important that the younger
generation should be exposed to and made aware of our K culture and its
preservation.

you can't please all the people all the time in any group. you'll get
criticized. some will oppose your ideas. some will agree with you.
some will not. but don't be too quick to
quit. talagang mung makanian. stay on and start learning all kinds
of ideas and opinions about anything especially about our K culture.
stay and learn and WE will also learn from you.

think about it.

Cabalen,

Paki-lako yu na ku pu king k-list group. Please delete me from the
k-list group.
I have been receiving a lot of criticisms from the (offensive and
trash)emails I am
sharing. Just to remind you that those emails are likewise forwarded to
me and
I shared it with you with no intended malice and sarcasm.

Maybe, Mr. Dave Nepomuceno is right. The younger Gen-X does not enjoy
group
discussion regarding history, lineage, genealogy etc... Sadly, I belong
to that generation.
Likewise, we cannot please you with our own brand of discussions and
interests..

Salamat pu king email group slot na biniye ku kanaku.

Luid Marc,

hmmmmm did i sound like begging them.....that was
not my intention ........ my point was that it was a
previlege given them...at the same time an
opportunity to contribute something to and learn from
the Kapampangan Nation ... they must not let it
go...if they do it is their loss.

In the same manner that we don't beg current k-listers who don't participate (the

lurkers) to participate in the discussions, I don't think we should beg anyone to stay
if they're beng on leaving. Don't you agree?

It sounds like begging to me when someone says "ali mu kami lalakuan."

Good point.

It doesn't sound like it's their loss if we have to beg them not leave us;
it sounds like a spouse who's being abandoned by the other half of the
couple.

I still think it's begging, not encouraging. With all due respect, Pastor Joe, what
"Kapampangan way" do you mean?

Ing pamaglambing is not a uniquely "Kapampangan way"; it is universal. And this is
probably where the problem lies: e ka malyaring maglambing in cyberspace because it

Why does it sound like begging ? Is it because it is
said in Kapampangan?????????

If it is said in English by special people it will
sound more what?????????????

Did I sound like a beggar because I was not on
denial????????????

I don't know what you mean because "lalakuan" or "lalakwan" has only one
meaning, and thus accent marks are not needed for a native speaker. This is in
contrast to the word "masakit", which can mean difficult, painful, or sick,
depending on where the accent marks are.

Cong Marc,
You misunderstod me. What I mean is this: Because of lack of practice pronouncing
K words, I noticed myself placing the accent at the wrong syllable. Example: if
you read "Lalakwan" for the first in a long time, I may pronounce it "la'lak'wan
instead of lalak'wan. Of course the meaning of the word never changes.

That's the problem with email; it always generates a lot misunderstanding because the
written word can always be different from the spoken word.

Cong Marc,
I respect and disagree with your understanding--not "always.". I wish though that you
would address the real issue. Again, is it normal to place the wrong accent at the wrong
syllable when pronouncing K words because of lack of practice? Yapin ing pisasabian
ini. Salamat Abe.

Ua. Or because there are no marks on the words being read and the context is not readily
discernible.
