Ooops, sorry Cong Andro,
You might have been dismayed when I mentioned that the Luther Parker
Collection was at the UP Library in Diliman. But hope is not lost.
According to Larkin, microfilm copies of the official town histories plus
some of Parker's own writings and correspondence can be found at the
Library of Congress (right here at my doorstep, maybe you should visit
the East Coast again) and at the Yale University Library.

Who is Luther Parker?
Cher
Hi Cher
I believe someone mentioned a few days ago that he was an American fellow
who ran a school in Pampanga. Cheers. DLR

For all you know I'll be knocking at your door one of these days if for sure
Luther Parker's collection is stiil there at the Library of Congress. I know
it's a big burden if you check out the collection's availability. I may even
invite Pol to go with me to borrow "The Datus of Macabebe" and request other
K-Listers to join us and bring several pairs of boxing gloves to have real
fun. >>
Andro,
Its me again, I like the info. you posted about Tarik Suleiman. Would you
believe that until now I never really knew the real name of the Datu whose
statue was erected infront of the Municipal Hall in Macabebe? Some people
thought that it was actually Rajah Suleiman. When I was a kid there was
school named after RS but it went bankrupt. I do not think majority of the
Macabebes knew his name because it was never inscribe on his tombstone. As
usual thanks for you diligence and patience in providing us such information
about our heritage. Now can I tell my townmates and even my kids about this
man. All the world's a stage ika nga but the good thing was we played both
roles.:):) If you do not mind, can you kindly share the name and title of
the book I would like to purchase one. Thanks again.
Best Regards,
Dennis
