Rajiv Malhotra receives award from HINDI USA

Shri Rajiv Malhotra was specially honored by HINDI USA
with an award of excellence for his ground-breaking work,
BEING DIFFERENT last Sunday, May 20, 2012, at their
annual Hindi Mahaotsav held in New Jersey. Rajiv gave the
keynote address, a passionate one-hour speech in Hindi
and English, to an audience of 1,000 plus persons. At the
end he was given a standing ovation.

The award was presented by Shri Devendra Singh, who
himself is a remarkable leader. Over ten years ago, he
started a Hindi school for children in New Jersey, and
today that small beginning has mushroomed into 22 Hindi
schools teaching over 4,000 students at multiple levels
from age 5 to adult. There are over 100 dedicated
volunteer teachers.

This was the annual event of HINDI USA, and was attended
by over 2,000 over a two-day period. It was a celebration
of the students` achievements language, poetry, essay
competitions, and dharm. You could not fail to notice
the sense of pride in the students` performances on
stage.

In addition to the large number of books sold, there have
been some new developments.

BEING DIFFERENT is now required reading for all the
teachers of these schools.  Also, the senior students
themselves would be required to write essays on the
various topics covered in the book.

Many more collaborations are anticipated between Rajiv
and Devendra.

The Goon Squad currently posts most of their abuse
through eternal-september.org and by writing someone
else's name or handle in the "From:" header -- their
favorite now is "fana...@gmail.com" (note the extra "b"
and "gmail.com") to make it appear as if the posts are
from "fan...@aol.com", who has been a regular poster for
many years.

Where I come from (Varanasi) we Hindus routinely voice
heartfelt pranaams and dhanyavaads to each other for
celebrating the virtues of our glorious Vedic-Hindu
spirituality and culture. This is even more important
here in pardesh: it feels wonderful to express gratitude
and encourage like-minded friends who spread the
knowledge about not only Sanaatan Dharm, but also about
those who consider themselves to be our enemies. They
have perpetrated terrorism against us, our culture and
country for centuries. So dhanyavaad for your efforts,
fanabba for your dharmic sevaa. Sanaatan Dharm Kee Jai Ho!
