Manila, Jan. 10 (PNA) - Multi-awarded actress Charito Solis is
dead.

The FAMAS Hall of Famer expired from a heart condition. She died on
arrival at a hospital in Calamba, Laguna, Friday night.

She reportedly collapsed at the comfort room of a resort in Calamba.
Her two aides, a man and a woman, rushed her to the hospital.

She had immensely contributed to the movie industry for over 40
years.

Ms. Solis was adjudged best actress at the Asian Film Festival
held in Japan in 1967.

Funeral wake for her remains will be at the Arlington Memorial
Chapels in Araneta Ave., Quezon City.

The 62-year-old veteran actress was survived by four children.

Giants in the local movie industry expressed grief over her loss.
