MANILA, Jan. 6 (PNA) - President Joseph "Erap" Ejercito Estrada
swore into office today top Philippine National Police (PNP)
officials led by the PNP chief and his two deputies, nine police
directors and several police chiefs.
Those who took their oath of office in simple rites at the Palace
this afternoon were PNP Director General Roberto Lastimoso; and
Deputy Directors General Anselmo Avenido Jr., and Edmundo Larroza.
The President likewise inducted into office police directors
Panfilo Lacson Jr. of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Task
Force, Jewel Canson, Miguel Coronel, Rex Piad, Reynaldo Velasco,
Rufino Ibay Jr., Diony Ventura, Romeo Acop, and Victor Batac.
The other officials who also took their oath of office were chief
superintendents Julius Yarcia, Arsenio Torres, Jose Bandong Jr., Jose
Poblete, Victor Luga, Enrique Galang Jr., Crescencio Maralit, Robert
Delfin, Steve Cudal, Renato Paredes, Rodolfo Caisip, Thompson
Lantion, Danilo Flores, and Enrique Cuadra;
Police senior superintendents Cesar Mancao II, Michael Ray Aquino,
Magtanggol Gatdula, Maximo Calimlim Jr., James Andres Melad, Benjamin
