CEBU CITY, July 8 (PNA)-- A business mission from Kuching,
Sarawak, Malaysia will visit Cebu City today to explore business
opportunities and projects through joint venture and/or
build-operate-transfer schemes.

The mission is headed by John Teo, honorary secretary of the
Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines-East Asia Growth Area (Bimp-Eaga)
council.

The Department of Trade and Industry is coordinating with the
Cebu Investment Promotions Center (CIPC), local government officials,
and the Cebu Contractors Association for the meeting with the visiting
business mission.

DTI Assistant Regional Director Alberto T. Gumarao said the
mission will be more focused on construction and shipbuilding projects.

The CIPC will conduct an economic briefing for the Malaysiam
