Luisita locators export sales total P2.79-B

TARLAC CITY, June 29 (PNA) -- Locators at the Luisita Industrial
park (LIP) here reported a total of P2.79 billion in export sales for
the period January to May this year.

The biggest export sales were reported by the International
Wiring Systems, Philippines, which generated $29,989, 824, followed by
Sanyo Semi-conductors Manufacturing Corporation with $18,874,131, the
second top exporter of the year.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Tarlac said other
locators have generated bullish incomes in the industrial zone for the
five month period which they are expecting to be reported within the
next two months.

Combined sales of garment factories reached P368.6 million with
MC Nova apparel leading the garment industry earning some $9.7 million.

Total export sales in the province reported to DTI-Tarlac
amounted to $73.454 million in the five month cut-off period and added
that the trend would escalate in the chart as soon as other locators
submit their reports.

Other big exporter-locators based in the province include the
International Electric Wires Systems Philippines Inc., Wongtex
Industrial Corp., Victory Garments, Jasmine Garments Corp,, CB
Creativity, Blooming Apparel, JJ Garments, Joytex Apparel, Origon Corp.,
Kozmar Trading Corp., Southeast Metro Arts, Inc., Tenn Philippines
Industries, Jover Philippines, Betis Crafts, Global Dolls and Porcelain
corp., Creations by Orlina and Lorettes Crafts.

International Wiring System Phils. President Alice de Vera said
her company employs 3,321 workers alone which contribute income and
job-generation to the city and the province.

Locators at the LIP said the abundance of skilled labor in the
province has contributed to the increase of exportable materials and
