Occasionally you need to check spelling in an application that does not include a spelling checker and you don't want to launch your word processor just for that. This is when tinySpell becomes handy. It is a small utility that allows you to easily and quickly check and correct the spelling in any Windows application.
tinySpell can watch your typing on the fly and alert you whenever it detects a misspelled word.
It can also check the spelling of text that you copy to the clipboard.
tinySpell installs itself in the taskbar notification area for easy access.

There are 2 versions - tinySpell which is freeware and tinySpell+ which you pay for. I use the former and it works fine for me. The free version uses American English, so if you're British and it flags up a word spelled the British way, you can add it to the dictionary. When you get a bubble showing a misspelt word, you click on it to get various possibilities shown, then click on the one you want (you may have to delete the incorrect version yourself although tinySpell shows the correct one immediately. You can set how long the bubble shows too.

Apart from counting words and characters, our online editor can help you to improve word choice and writing style, and, optionally, help you to detect grammar mistakes and plagiarism. To check word count, simply place your cursor into the text box above and start typing. You'll see the number of characters and words increase or decrease as you type, delete, and edit them. You can also copy and paste text from another program over into the online editor above. The Auto-Save feature will make sure you won't lose any changes while editing, even if you leave the site and come back later. Tip: Bookmark this page now.

Knowing the word count of a text can be important. For example, if an author has to write a minimum or maximum amount of words for an article, essay, report, story, book, paper, you name it. WordCounter will help to make sure its word count reaches a specific requirement or stays within a certain limit.

In addition, WordCounter shows you the top 10 keywords and keyword density of the article you're writing. This allows you to know which keywords you use how often and at what percentages. This can prevent you from over-using certain words or word combinations and check for best distribution of keywords in your writing.

I completely removed Aspell and all associated dictionaries. Afterwards I reinstalled in the non (x86) directory and reinstalled the dspell plugin in Notepad ++. Once this was done everything was fine.
