Ted Koppel is the cream of the cream of the crop when it comes to
journalists. Ted Koppel's style of journalism, his charasmatic demeaner and
his intelligence enticed me, a young woman twenty back in 1986. I had no
interest news at that time, but Ted Koppel has a way of forcing the
politicians that he interviews to sticking with the topics and questions at
hand. That amazed me because as everyone knows politicians do not like to
answer questions with a direct answer. Please do not insult his looks. Ted
Koppel has an old-fashioned look and that's okay. His intelligence
surpasses his looks. He's not bad looking. He was on the front lines of
the initial invasion of Baghdad when he was well in his sixties and I don't
think many who are young would be able to endure that. Yes, I for one will
miss Ted Koppel immensely. I guess I'll now have to watch Anderson Cooper's
360. Now he's an okay journalist except for the fact that he always says
"To get a sense of this". Ted Koppel would never use the same phrase more
than once in a broadcast.
