Hello, All!

An Obama candidacy will result in the Democrats getting set back at least ten
years. I cannot see Obama winning anything more than VT, IL and DC. Perhaps at
most winning 40 EVs. Even MA will become a battleground state. It will not be
as bad as the GOP landslides in 1972 and 1980, but there will be many Democratic
politicians attending job fairs for wannabe lobbyists.

In my political lifetime which goes back to "keeping clean for Gene [McCarthy]"
I have never seen a candidate so successful at stratifying the Democratic Party,
with the exception of George Wallace and Ross Barnett, as Sen. Obama. To assume
Clinton's support will simply migrate to Obama is sheer fantasy. Obama is more
than disliked. It is bordering on abomination and no political party can last
long with a standard bearer that evokes such negative emotions. At the same
time, no politician in the US has been so highly regarded (rightly or wrongly)
as McCain.

I do not want the GOP controlling all three branches of government once more.
We all know how that kind of GOP control fucked up our country and we're still
paying for it, but that's what my crystal ball is showing me. Thank you Ted
Kennedy for giving us another one of your fuckups as a presidential candidate.

With best regards, Lubow.

Since Obama is the clone of Deval Patrick (Even stole his campaign slogans),
one can only shudder at the mess he would create as president. Assuming
Hillary loses/drops out, I will be voting Republican for the first time
ever. The Democratic party has pretty much broken itself, and I've never
been more dissapointed to be one in 20 years. Fucking Howierd Dean is just
useless, and Pelosi and her bunch are completely GUTLESS about continuing to
fund the Iraq war.

Fatass Ted Kennedy needs to retire or drive off a bridge, and John Kerry
should just shut up. If anyone is a viable democratic candidate here in
Mass. running against Kerry or Kennedy, I will be happy to vote for them
instead.

And yes, I'm a Democrat, more of a centrist one, I certainly disagree with
Republicans about 95% of the time, but of late, the Democratic party has
been wrong about so much, it's embarrassing.

Obama is a strong candidate and will overwhelm McCain.

Americans are totally fed up with the Republicans and the disastrous
Bush presidency. Independents will show up in large numbers and support
Obama. McCain's support for the idiotic war will doom him.

How about a friendly wager? Since you are so convinced of Obama's victory, you
will be offering interesting odds and spotting electoral votes. What is you

Wrong.

Once again you demonstrate your inability to read. I stated: "Americans

are totally fed up with the Republicans and the disastrous Bush presidency."

From Pew, March 20, 2008: "Fewer Voters Identify as Republicans"
From the study: "The share of voters who call themselves Republicans
has declined by six points since 2004, and represents, on an annualized
basis, the lowest percentage of self-identified Republican voters in 16
years of polling by the Center."
http://pewresearch.org/pubs/773/fewer-voters-identify-as-republicans

And from Gallup, September 25, 2007: "Americans not only continue to
view the Democratic Party more favorably than the Republican Party in
general terms, but they also choose the Democratic party as the
preferred party for maintaining the nation's economic prosperity. And,
in a departure from recent history, Americans see the Democrats as the
political party better able to protect the country from terrorism."
http://www.gallup.com/poll/28780/Democratic-Party-Maintains-Solid-Image-Advantage-Over-GOP.aspx

Americans are fed up with Republicans, their lies, and their disregard
for the welfare of the country. They will show this resentment at the
polls. In the words of President Bush: "There's an old saying . . .
'Fool me once, shame on -- shame on you. [Pause.] Fool me -- you can't
get fooled again.' "

The only way Republicans can win is by stealing the election.

You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some
of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.

Something they've suddenly become quite skilled at doing. Money, from
the 3 Trillion dollars of missing Pentagon funds, the ENRON Laundromat,
and the Gold from beneath the WTC, along with miscellaneous donations
from the criminal, corporate Coup D'Etat of 2000, probably played a rather
significant role in their success.
