I'm a technology writer and radio host -- and I've been asked to speak to a
local chapter of the Canadian Public Relations Society about media
relations on the Internet.
I view it as a unique opportunity to help public relations people learn
what journalists need to make our job easier: how to send a "proper" email
pitch, how -- or if! -- you prefer to receive electronic documents, what
you'd like to see in an online press kit, etc.
- What are your top three "pet peeves"?
- What did a flak do recently by email that got your attention?
- How should web sites be better structured for media?
- Do you consider email news releases as "real" as hard copy?
If you have a moment, and would like to perhaps make a positive difference
in the way flaks (ab)use the Internet in relation to media, please send
them to me at t...@emergeonline.com, with a cc to this newsgroup so that we
can all share in your information.
Let me know if you'd prefer your name and/or affiliation is kept
confidential.
Thanks!
