Is anyone aware of a similar book to 'Writer's Market' that covers the
UK market?

There are two:

_The Writer's Handbook 199x_, ed Barry Turner, Macmillan Pub, UK#12.99,
(don't have current edition so not including ISBN). This one's my
preferred one.

_Writers' & Artists' Yearbook 199x_, A & C Black Pub, UK#8.99, (don't
have current edition so not including ISBN for this one either). I don't
care for this one anywhere near as much. Now in 90th(?) year and showing
it.

Yes and it is called "The Writers' and Artists' Yearbook" it is updated every
year, costs about fifteen dollars (ten pounds I think). As well as telling you
about the U.K. magazine and newspaper markets, it also has international
markets, publisher addreses, information for illustrators, photographers,
script-writers, novelists etc and several well-written articles on how to
prepare manuscripts, query letters, article writing etc. WELL worth buying,
published by A and C Black ltd.

Yes - I was just in Britain and picked up the Writers' & Artists
Yearbook 1997. It cost 10.99 in pounds which is about $18. You can
get it at most WHSmiths stores.
