There are no orange kangaroos in Denmark, which amazes them completely
because that is the equation they have arrived at 99% of the time (unless
they used Djibouti instead of Denmark and WHO would do that!)
Anyway, this joke used to circulate regularly, I absolutely loved playing it
on people but have forgotten the formula.
Please, help me if you can!
Thanks,
Shawn

Magic trick follow directions
DO THIS BY THE RULES
Try this and you will be amazed!
Don't look ahead! Just do it step by step SLOWLY
DO NOT SKIP AHEAD
Read this message ONE LINE AT A TIME and just do what it says
You will be glad you did
1) pick a number from 1-9
2) subtract 5
3) multiply by 3
4) square the number (multiply by the same number-not a square root)
5) add the digits until you get only one digit ( ie= 64= 6+4 10=
1+0
) 6) if the number is less than 5, add five. Otherwise subtract 4 7)
multiply by 2 8) subtract 6 9) map the digit to a
letter in the alphabet (1= A, 2 = B, 3= C, etc )
10) pick a name of a country that begins with that letter
11) take the second letter in the country name and think of a mammal
that begins with that letter
12) think of the color of that mammal
(keep scrolling)
DO NOT SCROLL DOWN UNTIL YOU HAVE DONE ALL OF THE ABOVE
Here it comes, NO CHEATING or you'll be sorry
You have a

when i first picked it i also picked djibouti, but the way i did it was grey
elephants, since once you get denmark, add one letter to it, which would be E,
and then most people pick elephants

Factorials were someone's attempt to make math *look* exciting.
--- Stephen Wright
(1) Pick a digit between 1 & 9
(2) Multiply this digit by 9
(3) If product is two digits, add them together (will always be 9)
(4) Subtract 5 (will always be 4)
(5) Correspond that number to a letter of the alphabet (will always be "D")
(6) Think of country that starts with that letter (usually will be
"Denmark")
(7) Take last letter of country and think of animal that begins with that
letter (usually "kangaroo")
(8) Take last letter of animal and think of a color that begins with that
letter (usually "orange")
Then say something like, "There's no orange kangaroos in Denmark!"
The problem is when you get "geographically challenged" people who don't
know cities from countries, "mathematically challenged" people who just
screw up the numbers, or someone who happens to think of "Dominican
Republic".
