JOB OUTLINE
A major contributor to the hardware design team, the main role is to undertake detailed design work to generate quality products for the Chassis Portfolio and to ensure the full manufacturing ability of products.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
· To undertake major pieces of detailed design work from project initiation through to completion, involving analogue and digital hardware designs
· To ensure that all designs produced are fully suited to the agreed/chosen manufacturing process, both for assembly and final testing
· To ensure quality designs are produced
· To undertake presentations with customers
· To ensure that all designs are validated in accordance with the products' requirements
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
· Degree qualification in relevant discipline
· Minimum of 4 years as a electronics design engineer
· Good level of skill with electronic CAD packages, schematic capture and simulation
· Thorough knowledge of the components and processes involved with volume automotive electronics
· Full knowledge of production testing techniques and the methods of designing a circuit for testability
· Good interpersonal skills, team player
· Good commercial awareness with an awareness of product liability issues JOB OUTLINE
