Quality Assurance Specialist / QA
Client: State of OH (Dept. of Public Safety)
Rate: $50/hr c2c
Duration: 6-12 months
F2F INTERVIEWS ONLY , there are NO exceptions.
QAS3 to help IT pilot and implement the software quality assurance review process for the ATPS Blue project. Will help development teams test software quality for production deployment.
This position will function as a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist with specific responsibilities that include:
The Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) is responsible for the design, pilot, and implementation of the software quality assurance review processes. The QAS Specialist will work with Application Teams during pre and post assessment periods. The QAS Specialist reports to the Quality Assurance Team Lead. For each phase end review the Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible to plan, schedule, execute, and document findings of the review. Quality Assurance Specialists must have a detailed understanding of processes which support the software development lifecycle. The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for communicating with the State regarding the progress of the quality approach and a summary of the metrics, as well as managing the Quality Assurance Specialists.
QAS3
Years of Relevant Experience: 7+
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study.
Role Description:
1. BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
2. 7 Years in testing I.T products and applications.
3. 5 Years automation experience using QTP, MS Visual Studio Coded UI, Selenium, Gherkin etc.
4. 5 Years Development/scripting skills in C#, VB
5. 5 Years in End to End Test Automation experience
6. 5 Years demonstrated experience in converting existing manual test cases to automation scripts.
7. 3 Years most recent experience in End to End automation using MS Visual Studio Coded UI, Team Foundation Server and Microsoft Test Manager.
8. 5 Years conducting test case reviews to ensure scenarios accurately capture business functionality.
9. Contributes to continuous process improvements to increase the efficiency of QA and development.
10. Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
* Certifications in Software Testing Field.
* Programming background.
* Certifications in Microsoft tools and technologies.
* CRUD Testing experience
* Test coverage and estimations experience
