RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in planning and development
activities related to the Switch Translations Provisioning
System. This system will translate information from the service
order entry system into the switch parameters necessary to
implement a service. The service translations information (recent
change). Responsible for leading and participating in systems
development activities utilizing object oriented methodologies.
Activities include defining requirements, performing analysis and
design activities, and coding and testing of new releases.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or
equivalent. Requires 3 or more years of paid development experience,
including GUI and RDBMS applications, preferably in an Object
Oriented Development environment. Familiarity with analysis,
design, and implementation of class 5 local switch (DMS 100 or
Siemens EWDS) support systems or other telecom related systems a
plus. Experience in developing systems in a Client/Server
architecture using Unix C++ or Visual C++ development languages
and Oracle or other relational databases. Ability to interface
with internal and external personnel using strong verbal and
written communication skills.
