Business Analyst: Identifies, understands, and documents the business needs and the
applications that support those needs. Their responsibilities include working with
the business to gather, document, and manage business requirements, translating the
business requirements into design specifications, and ensuring that the requirements
are met, tested, and implemented. This includes the application of problem solving,
statistical analysis, and root cause analysis techniques to issues and problems. The
business analyst works very closely with the PM and serves as the primary contact for
the IT development team, communicating with the business on a non-technical level.
