Job Functions: Operations - Other - Position Purpose * The
Inventory Specialist oversees the execution and quality of the
physical inventory process for the company. He/she is responsible
for ensuring proper cutoffs and quality of inventory counts to
obtain an accurate inventory. While not overseeing inventories,
they assist in developing and conducting compliance reviews.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities * Partner with store management
one time prior to inventory day to ensure adequate inventory
preparation. These visits include tagging, signing and general
maintenance compliance; Determine if store is on track to be
prepared for inventory day; develop plans to get the store on
track if they are behind in preparing for inventory; communicate
with key managment when stores are behind in preparing for
inventory; develop and provide additional training to associates
and management on all inventory day procedures. * Lead the
inventory day process along with performing key cutoff procedures
to ensure an accurate inventory. * Execute compliance reviews
at various store locations. * Communicate inventory results to
all levels of store management. Essential Functions: Minimum
Qualifications * Must be eighteen years of age or older. *
Must pass the Drug Test. * Must successfully complete any
required training or orientation courses. * Education required
- high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. * Years of
relevant work experience - One to two years of experience is
preferred. Physical Job Requirements * Must continuously stand
or walk or there is a regular requirement of
lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate
weight. * Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of
the time. Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Able
to create a sense of urgency in work. * Able to react quickly
and appropriately to problems in the store. * Ability to make
decisions independently. * Ability to manage multiple tasks at
once and prioritize work. * Strong organizational skills and
attention to detail. * Ability to develop and monitor one s
skill set. * Ability to effectively analyze problems and
monitor information. * Strong written and verbal communication
