JOB TITLE: Senior Systems Manager
LOCATION: High Point, US-NC

SALARY : $80000 - $90000

DESCRIPTION:
A company in High Point, NC is looking for a Senior Systems Manager. This
position provides the primary leadership for managing the development,
implementation, and ongoing maintenance of application systems supporting an
assigned business area (i.e. finance, distribution, manufacturing, etc.). The
incumbent manages a professional staff of analysts and programmers and
frequently outside contract professionals, in the development of software to
address business objectives. The incumbent serves as the primary liaison
between the IS department and management of his assigned business area,
typically functioning as project manager on major project objectives. The
Systems Manager is an active participant in critical company management process
(Barrel, Planning, SPP). Principal duties and responsibilities include: 1)
assist the Director of IS in the development of the long-range and annual
operating plans 2) for the business area he supports, the incumbent develops
overall system goals and objectives and appropriate project plans 3) functions
as project manager supervising the execution of software development projects -
is responsible for detailed project planning and progress reporting vs plans -
provides periodic status reports to management 4) coordinates with the Director
of IS and other Systems Managers to insure that systems, developed for his
service area, fit into the total system in an appropriate, integrated fashion -
objectives here are to avoid duplication and maximize accessibility and overall
utility of the various databases and other resources 5) provides implementation
plans and training for new systems, service as liaison between IS and
management of the supported business areas- assists in the preparation of and
training in operating procedures and manuals 6) maintains contact with user
management to insure that systems meet business objectives - works with user
and IS operations personnel on a continuing basis to insure that customer
service objectives are achieved 7) provides for the development of assigned
staff, maintaining, development plans for direct reports and assuring that
plans are achieved. An undergraduate degree is the minimum requirement with an
MBA preferred. Strong business orientations is essential, The incumbent will
have demonstrated success in managing significant information system projects,
with overall experience of 12 to 15 years. The candidate will have
demonstrated the ability to lead, manage, and develop a professional staff. US
Citizens or permanent residents only.
