DESCRIPTION:
This position is with an Ohio based company that is looking to go IPO in the
next 24-36 months. They have an established track record and revenue stream
and are in their 11th year of operation. The owner and president is
recognized around the around the world as an expert in the video area. They
have recently brought in a new VP of sales who has a proven track record of
growing revenues significantly in high tech organizations. Sales are expected
to grow 15 fold over the next 24-36 months. The company is currently expanding
their base of operations from the MW to the SE and NE. The person who is
brought in as the NE sales engineer will be the first SE in the region and as
such will have outstanding advancement opportunity. In this position you will
be responsible for two areas. The first (approx 50% of your time) will be as
the pre-sales engineer for the NE (NY and New England). The 2nd part of the
job will be spent on site at a Manhattan based Fortune 200 firm in both pre and
post sales roles. In both roles you will be supporting major video integration
projects as well as data networking projects. The individual who fills this
role MUST have experience in engineering both videoconferencing and datacomm
applications. You will also need to have experience in highly charged
political atmospheres and know how to negotiate the situations that evolve from
these. You must also have extremely strong customer interface skills and have
a personality that does not buckle under from pressure.
